In a recent announcement, VinFast has revealed its ambitious expansion plans across the U.S., with over 70 dealer applications already in hand. Updates on dealer agreements are anticipated in the coming months, paving the way for VinFast to distribute its electric vehicles (EVs) through 125 points of sales nationwide.
The company aims to extend its distribution to hundreds of points of sales by the end of 2024, encompassing existing showrooms. In 2023, VinFast plans to introduce VF 8 models through its distribution network, with subsequent offerings of the VF 9, VF 6, and VF 7 upon their market launch.
Customers purchasing or leasing VinFast EVs are entitled to the company’s aftersales policies, including a 10-year/125,000-mile warranty for the vehicle and a 10-year unlimited mileage warranty for the battery under non-commercial use.
VinFast’s Parts Distribution Centers are geared to fulfill orders from all regional markets, including the U.S., ensuring timely support for dealers’ requests. Dealers can conveniently submit requests and collect fulfillment periodically (monthly or quarterly) or, in urgent cases, via air transport. This approach aims to maintain a high standard of repair and maintenance services for VinFast customers, irrespective of the distribution method.
To facilitate hands-on experiences with VinFast EVs, the company plans to conduct Pop-up Mobile Test drives in Austin, Texas, and other targeted cities and states until the end of the year.
As disclosed in the previous quarter, VinFast is strategically establishing broad distribution channels by leveraging local networks and collaborating with third-party dealerships to expand its coverage in various target markets. The company is working towards a global presence in up to 50 markets and countries by the conclusion of 2024.
