Disney has unveiled the augmented shopping experience for D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, presented by Visa®. This announcement includes new locations and licensees, exclusive merchandise, and advanced technology designed to enhance the shopping process. Set to take place on August 9, 10, and 11, 2024, in Anaheim, California, the event promises to showcase the pinnacle of Disney storytelling and innovation. Attendees will have access to a wide array of retail offerings spanning the Disney universe, featuring limited edition pins, clothing, books, music, and more.

World of Disney: The Product Experience
This year’s event offers Disney fans a unique chance to elevate their fandom with World of Disney: The Product Experience, a premier destination for shopping and exploring new and limited-edition merchandise from D23 Marketplace, Disney Publishing, Disney Store, and more. Situated on North Level 200 of the Anaheim Convention Center, this expansive and reimagined experience invites fans to engage with and interact with a variety of beloved products and stories from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars, courtesy of Disney Consumer Products.
D23 Marketplace
The D23 Marketplace is returning this year to a new location within World of Disney: The Product Experience. Spanning 16,000 square feet, this retail space will feature an array of exciting products from DisneyStore.com and Disney Parks. Fans can look forward to merchandise from popular collections such as Disney Limited Edition Dolls, the new Disney Lacers vinyl series, and essential items from Star Wars, Marvel, and Pixar. Beginning Monday, August 12 at 8 AM PT, DisneyStore.com will offer select items from D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. Fans can shop for Star Wars and Marvel essentials, Disney Limited Edition Dolls, and the new Disney Lacers vinyl series at DisneyStore.com/D23Event2024 while supplies last.
Disney Publishing
Disney Publishing, renowned for nurturing a love of reading and sparking curiosity, offers a diverse array of best-selling books, comics, magazines, digital storytelling products, audiobooks, and more. Within World of Disney: The Product Experience, it will be the go-to spot for Disney books, beloved stories, and collectible titles. Attendees can explore first-to-market books, including must-reads from Bob Weis, former President of Walt Disney Imagineering; Pete Docter, Pixar Animation Studios’ Chief Creative Officer; Martha Blanding, incoming Disney Legend; and Ashley Eckstein, voice of Ahsoka Tano in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. These acclaimed authors will also be signing copies of their new books at Talent Central and Live at World of Disney: The Product Experience. Additionally, fans can enjoy a new sip and shop experience featuring the latest blend from Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Co. while they browse.
The Walt Disney Company Store
The Walt Disney Company Store is debuting at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event with two locations on the show floor. The store in Hall D will showcase new merchandise from The Walt Disney Studios, the Walt Disney Archives, and The Walt Disney Company. Highlights from The Walt Disney Studios include a collaboration with Loungefly featuring a Studio Patches Canvas Backpack and a crossbody bag inspired by the iconic Team Disney building, complete with a detachable Disney Legends Award coin purse. The Walt Disney Archives will offer items like a Studio Baseball League Jersey, while The Walt Disney Company collection will feature a stylish denim jacket, a collegiate ivory tee, and a sleek 16” computer sleeve. Additionally, collectible figurines depicting iconic locations across The Walt Disney Studios Lot, such as the Partners Statue, Sharing the Magic Statue, Pluto’s Corner Sign, and the Water Tower, will be available. This location will operate as a cashless store. Mickey’s of Glendale
Mickey’s of Glendale, the Walt Disney Imagineering store, is making a return to D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event with two locations in Hall C of the Anaheim Convention Center. This year, fans will discover a variety of collections showcasing the creativity and talent of Disney Imagineers. These exclusive collections are inspired by Disney characters, theme park attractions, and more. Attendees can shop for delightful Disney Villain enamel figures or explore the comic book realm of Walt Disney’s The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.
Mickey’s of Glendale Pin Store
Disney pin collectors will not want to miss the Mickey’s of Glendale Pin Store, which will unveil a new collection of limited-edition pins each day on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. This store will operate cashless, requiring guests to use the Disneyland app on their smartphones for purchases. To ensure a smooth shopping experience, guests should download the app and create an account in advance.
Disney Studio Store Hollywood
The enchantment of Hollywood comes alive in Anaheim at the Disney Studio Store Hollywood, situated in Hall B. Here, visitors can acquire freshly released limited-edition pins, framed pin sets, and official Disney Studio Store Hollywood branded apparel. New limited-edition pins will debut on Friday and Saturday. Guests can also enjoy a fun photo opportunity while visiting this location. Please note, the Disney Studio Store Hollywood will operate on a cashless basis.

Attendees can look forward to discovering new and exclusive merchandise, including mini backpacks, keychains, and pins from Loungefly; a lab-grown Mickey Mouse pendant by Pandora; event-branded charms from RockLove Jewelry; and exquisite pieces featuring Disney Princesses and Villains from Enchanted Disney Fine Jewelry. Additionally, fans can explore Disney, Marvel, and Star Wars-inspired watches by Citizen Watch, and the exclusive Infinity Gem Collection from East Continental Gems.

HOW TO SHOP
Disney is enhancing the fan shopping experience with the reintroduction of mobile checkout and virtual queue services at select locations. These features will be accessible via a direct link from the Disney D23 app to the Disneyland app. The Disney D23 app is currently downloadable from the app store for iOS and Android devices, with an upcoming update designed to help guests navigate entertainment, presentations, shopping, photo opportunities, and all the magic Disney has to offer at this year’s event. The Disneyland app is also available for download on the app store for both iOS and Android devices.
To facilitate a seamless shopping experience, many locations will operate as cashless venues, accepting only credit or debit cards.
Fans can explore the show floor while awaiting their shopping turn by joining a “boarding group” via virtual queue on the Disneyland app through the Disney D23 app. Notifications will alert them when it’s their turn to shop. It’s important to note that joining the virtual queue does not guarantee immediate access, as there may still be a wait upon arrival at the location. The virtual queue has limited capacity and is subject to availability.
Access to key shopping destinations like the D23 Marketplace, The Walt Disney Company Store, The Walt Disney Company Pin Store, Mickey’s of Glendale (Friday only), Mickey’s of Glendale Pin Store, and Disney Studio Store Hollywood (Friday and Saturday only) will require virtual queue registration starting at the event’s opening each day at 9 AM PT. Stand-by queues will not be available in the mornings but may open later in the afternoon if all virtual queue boarding groups have been accommodated. Merchandise availability is limited, and inventory may sell out. Purchases will be restricted to a certain number of items per transaction.
For efficient shopping, guests can use the Disneyland app to pay for items at select locations. Simply scan each item’s barcode, add it to the virtual shopping bag, and complete the purchase by selecting “Purchase.” A QR code confirmation displayed to a Cast Member at the mobile checkout station allows for scanning before leaving the store. Digital receipts are sent to the linked email address on the Disneyland app, with eligible discounts automatically applied. The merchandise mobile checkout service complements traditional checkout methods.
