The seventh installment of the global Art of Dreams initiative has arrived in Seoul, turning the spotlight on the Taycan Turbo K-Edition. This time, the event joins forces with Capsule, a cutting-edge design platform, to create an immersive experience like no other. Set against the backdrop of South Korea’s bustling capital, the Capsule Dreamscapes #01 Seoul exhibition offers visitors a chance to step into a world where dreams and innovation collide. Running parallel to the Frieze art fair from September 4–8, 2024, this event marks the debut of the new Capsule Dreamscapes format.
Bringing together top-tier international artists and local South Korean talent, the event transforms Seongsu-dong, a former factory district, into a sensory playground. Every installation, workshop, and discussion is rooted in a shared focus: the Taycan Turbo K-Edition. Created to commemorate Porsche Korea’s 10th anniversary, this limited-edition vehicle draws inspiration from Korean culture, blending tradition and innovation in its distinctive design.
French artist Audrey Large, collaborating with Théophile Blandet, takes visitors into a surreal, energy-infused space that explores visionary technology. American digital artist Ezra Miller pushes the boundaries with a real-time generative video that evokes themes of speed and futurism. Meanwhile, Seoul-based designers Kwangho Lee and Nicesworkshop, with the support of materials partner Format, challenge perceptions of materials through unique processes of transformation. German artist Carsten Höller also makes an appearance, introducing his Brutalist kitchen concept—an installation that’s as much about sharing space as it is about art.
Capsule Dreamscapes #01 Seoul isn’t just about art; it’s about pushing the limits of creativity and design. By weaving imagination into the fabric of everyday life, this initiative aims to reshape how people think about the future. Seoul, a city that thrives on balancing rapid modernization with a deep respect for heritage, is the perfect stage for this ambitious exploration of dreams and design.
Porsche Korea’s 10th anniversary in 2024 is a milestone event. To honor this, Porsche has introduced the Taycan Turbo K-Edition, an exclusive model for the Korean market. Drawing from Korean cultural motifs, this limited-edition car stands out with its unique design, merging the spirit of Porsche with the rich heritage of Korea.
