The Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi has introduced six exquisite mooncake flavors in anticipation of the Mid-Autumn Festival 2024. These mooncakes are presented in intricately designed boxes that feature illustrations inspired by early 20th-century Hanoian lifestyle photographs.
The 2024 mooncake collection, titled “A Heritage Tapestry,” reflects the luxury hotel’s century-long legacy of history and culture. It captures the classical elegance of the Indochine era and the charm of old Hanoi, infused with memories and experiences that define the Metropole’s legendary identity.
This year’s distinctive flavors include Lotus Seeds & Macadamia Nuts; Matcha with Sunflower Seeds; Orange & Grand-Marnier; Traditional Mix; Black Sesame & Sunflower Seeds; and Green Bean, Apricot & Salted Egg. These preservative-free, hand-baked mooncakes are crafted using authentic recipes with a gourmet touch from the Metropole.
The mooncakes are available in various elegant box options. A four-piece box (each piece 200g) is priced at VND 2,980,000, and a six-piece box (each piece 100g) is priced at VND 3,130,000. The six-piece VIP box (each piece 100g) with a bottle of Vieux Saint Andre St Emilion 2019 is priced at VND 6,600,000 net. The six-piece VVIP lacquer boxes (each piece 100g) with Emperor Lotus tea and Jasmine tea are priced between VND 8,600,000 and VND 9,290,000. Additionally, a limited Super VIP box with Emperor Lotus tea and a Hanoia lacquer tea box is priced at VND 19,900,000 net.
For orders placed before August 24, there is a 5% discount for orders of 5 boxes or more, a 10% discount for 10 or more boxes, a 15% discount for 20 or more boxes, and a 20% discount for 30 or more boxes. Accor Plus members and agencies receive an additional 10% discount.
For orders made between August 25 and September 9, there is a 5% discount for 10 or more boxes, a 10% discount for 20 or more boxes, and a 20% discount for 30 or more boxes. Accor Plus members and agencies receive an additional 10% discount.
For orders made after September 9, Accor Plus members and agencies receive a 10% discount.
These promotions apply to single invoices only and require completion and payment at the time of ordering to avail of these offers. VVIP lacquer and Super VIP boxes are excluded from these promotions.
The Mid-Autumn Festival, celebrated annually on the 15th day of the 8th month in the East Asian lunar calendar, is a time for families to come together to enjoy teas and mooncakes, giving thanks and praying for good fortune in the year ahead. Known as Tet Trung Thu in Vietnam, the festival traditionally marks the end of the harvest season.
