Hilton announces today the highly anticipated debut of Waldorf Astoria in the Seychelles with the opening of Waldorf Astoria Seychelles Platte Island. The resort features an intimate collection of 50 seafront villas with personal concierge services, including one-to-three-bedroom villas and a master five-bedroom villa with expansive gardens. Combining Waldorf Astoria’s elegant service and luxury with Platte Island’s timeless surroundings, the resort aims to offer a once-in-a-lifetime experience for sophisticated travelers.

The culinary expertise of Waldorf Astoria extends to Seychelles Platte Island with six restaurants and bars that blend international and local flavors. The Parisian-inspired Peacock Terrace at Waldorf Astoria Seychelles Platte Island offers daily delights and a creative beverage menu.

Maison Des Epices, the resort’s Creole-Latin fusion and evening culinary destination, provides an immersive dining experience with live cooking stations and locally sourced produce. La Perle restaurant offers a health-conscious breakfast experience during the day and transforms into a high-end Mediterranean restaurant at night. Lalin offers elegant pre-dinner indulgence and refined nocturnal sips, while Moulin, opening later, focuses on conscious eating with fresh ingredients from the island’s garden.

Torti, the resort’s pool and beach bar, is known for its customizable ‘bento box’ offerings and fresh sushi. The resort also offers unique food and drink experiences, including mixology and barista masterclasses, Creole cooking classes, desert and bakery classes, kids cooking classes, and more.

Platte Island, with its flat topography and forested sandy cay, serves as a haven for migratory seabirds and turtles. The resort has implemented efforts to preserve the island’s diverse flora and fauna, including partnerships with local non-profit organizations. It uses a solar field for renewable energy, and the natural garden provides a sustainable farm-to-table supply. The resort’s 2.5-megawatt solar farm powers 95 percent of its operations.

The Waldorf Astoria Spa embraces the island’s natural setting, offering relaxation, rebalance, and rejuvenation through individual treatments and personalized programs. The spa also provides yoga, guided meditation, and mindfulness sessions, supported by thermal experiences. The fitness center features a Technogym workout center, an open-air fitness studio, Tennis, Padel Tennis, cycling, and jogging.
