Rocco Forte Hotels has announced the opening of Rocco Forte House Milan on August 29, 2024. Situated in the heart of Milan, the new property features eleven exclusive apartments that provide an exceptional blend of luxury, privacy, and personalized service.
Founded in 1996 by Sir Rocco Forte and his sister Olga Polizzi, Rocco Forte Hotels is a collection of 14 unique hotels, resorts, residences, and villas, each housed in a landmark building in an exceptional location. The company, operated by a family with four generations in the hotel industry, is known for its distinctive approach to service, designed to provide guests with the best possible experience of their destination.
Located on Via Manzoni, Rocco Forte House Milan is the first of its kind in the city, introducing an innovative private residence concept that showcases the signature hospitality of Rocco Forte Hotels. Nestled within Milan’s fashion district, the apartments are crafted to offer guests a taste of the city’s charm while featuring a contemporary yet timeless Italian design. Each residence overlooks a traditional Milanese courtyard and is styled by Olga Polizzi, the group’s Director of Design, in collaboration with designers Paolo Moschino and Philip Vergeylen.
Housed in a 19th-century palazzo on the prestigious Via della Spiga, the property combines historic elegance with modern elements. The Noble Floor features original stuccos, fresco-adorned ceilings, and antique furnishings that reflect Milan’s affluent past, while the upper floors offer a contemporary aesthetic with large glass windows and terraces.
The apartments are named after four iconic areas of Milan—Brera, Duomo, Isola, and Tortona—underscoring the city’s status as a global style capital. Alongside their unique design, the residences provide exceptional amenities, including concierge services, valet, a dedicated chef, and an exclusive gym for guests.
Olga Polizzi describes Rocco Forte House Milan as “a collection of stunning apartments in the heart of the city.” She highlights the collaboration with Philip Vergeylen and Paolo Moschino in creating a design that blends elegant Milanese style with the comfort and warmth of a home. According to Polizzi, the residences capture the true essence of Milan, combining old-world architecture with contemporary elements, from frescoes to fireplace features. “Working with Paolo & Philip is always a pleasure,” she adds, “as they understand that comfort is just as crucial as interesting design.”
