At the CES Consumer Electronics Show at The Venetian Convention & Expo Center, SYDRON airmobility proudly showcased the SYDRON eVTOL, Poland’s first Electrical Vertical Take Off and Landing (eVTOL) aerotaxi designed for short transportation. The concept was presented at booth 60111 organized by the Polish Investment & Trade Agency, showing SYDRON’s commitment to advancing sustainable urban mobility.
SYDRON, collaborating with engineers from Poland and Ukraine, is currently developing its first prototype of the eVTOL. The aircraft, designed for passenger transportation, heavy load transport, and emergency response, has gained international recognition, drawing attention from institutions like NASA, Altasea Port of Los Angeles, and the Port of Barcelona, as well as the ecological organization 7th Generation Advisors.
The SYDRON Model 2, a two-person eVTOL, has a Maximum Take-off Mass of 1,323 pounds (600 kg) with 8 coaxially arranged propellers, each around 5 feet (1.5 meters) in size. It can reach speeds up to 56 miles per hour (90 km/h) and is manually controlled with a pilot license. Future plans include optional autonomous control for takeoff and landing, moving towards fully autonomous flight capabilities.
In the competitive eVTOL Air Taxi sector, SYDRON sets itself apart through technological innovation, sustainability, and a customer-centric approach. The eVTOLs feature advanced battery technology for extended flight ranges and faster charging times. SYDRON is working on a hybrid battery solution with hydrogen-electrical to increase flying time from 30 minutes to 1 hour, ensuring a more reliable and efficient service.
SYDRON airmobility emphasizes sustainability, operating fully electric eVTOLs with zero emissions during operation, aligning with the global demand for green transportation. Looking ahead, SYDRON is committed to the evolution of fully autonomous flight, integrating cutting-edge AI technologies for enhanced safety, efficiency, and a transformative travel experience.
In summary, SYDRON’s journey from its 2022 inception to becoming a trailblazer in electric air taxis is marked by technological prowess, a commitment to sustainability, and a focus on customer needs. As SYDRON navigates the competitive landscape, its dedication to innovation positions the company as a frontrunner in shaping the future of urban mobility, heralding a new era of sustainable and efficient transportation not only in Poland but worldwide.
The national stand of the Polish company, organized by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency, made its debut at CES 2024 in Las Vegas, showcasing the nation’s commitment to fostering innovation and technological progress.
