New York City recently hosted the U.S. premiere of Transformers One. Attending the event were the film’s stars, including Chris Hemsworth, Brian Tyree Henry, Keegan-Michael Key, and Steve Buscemi. They were joined by director Josh Cooley, along with producers Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Tom DeSanto, Don Murphy, Michael Bay, Mark Vahradian, and Aaron Dem. Executive producers Zev Foreman and Olivier Dumont, as well as writers Eric Pearson, Andrew Barrer, and Gabriel Ferrari, were also present.
Transformers One tells the untold origin story of Optimus Prime and Megatron, revealing their past as close friends, once bonded like brothers, before their fates changed the future of Cybertron forever. This marks the first fully CG-animated Transformers movie, boasting a star-studded voice cast featuring Chris Hemsworth, Brian Tyree Henry, Scarlett Johansson, Keegan-Michael Key, Steve Buscemi, Laurence Fishburne, and Jon Hamm.
The film is presented by Paramount Animation and Hasbro, in association with New Republic Pictures. It is a Don Murphy/Tom DeSanto production, with additional contributions from di Bonaventura Pictures and Bay Films.
The executive producers of the film include Steven Spielberg, Zev Foreman, Olivier Dumont, Bradley J. Fischer, B.J. Farmer, and Matt Quigg. The film was produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Tom DeSanto, Don Murphy, Michael Bay, Mark Vahradian, and Aaron Dem. It is based on Hasbro’s Transformers action figures, with the story written by Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari, and a screenplay by Eric Pearson, Andrew Barrer, and Gabriel Ferrari. The film was directed by Josh Cooley.
