The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch will once again open its gates to guests, inviting them to immerse themselves in the vibrant spectacle of blossoming hues starting Friday, March 1, 2024. Located in Carlsbad, California, the fields will showcase a dazzling array of flowers across its hillsides. The theme for 2024, “Spring into Color,” not only heralds the onset of spring but also celebrates the meticulous cultivation of fifty-five acres of Giant Tecolote Ranunculus, known for its striking double-petaled blooms atop tall, sturdy stems. This annual event spans eight to ten weeks and offers a plethora of activities, including live music performances, workshops, and wellness classes inspired by the beauty of nature.
Fred Clarke, the general manager of The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch, remarks, “The vibrancy that The Flower Fields brings each spring transcends our fields of rainbow ranunculus. Whether it’s the colorful wagons transporting visitors, vendors serving visually enticing lemonade and sprinkle-dipped ice cream, or activities like blueberry picking, Sea of Sunflowers, and diverse gardens, color permeates every aspect of the experience.”
The 2024 calendar is filled with an exciting lineup of events, featuring the return of the acclaimed outdoor music series showcasing bands such as Swingergy, The Derringers, Bill Magee, SoRockBlu, Bayou Brothers, Cool Rush, and Michele Lundeen. Additionally, visitors can enjoy Sunset Wine Tasting, Flower Crown Workshops, Tea in the Garden, and wellness sessions like Meditation and Sound Healing and Flower Flow Yoga. Nostalgic attractions including the American Flag of Flowers, Tractor Wagon Rides, a Sweet Pea Maze, Santa’s Playground, and the Carlsbad Mining Company will evoke cherished memories for guests, many of whom have returned to The Flower Fields for over sixty years.
