Carolyn spotlights the East Bay, because it often is in the shadow of glamorous San Francisco or Napa Valley. “East Bay is the home of Oakland which is probably the most diverse city in the entire nation. It’s a home to Berkeley which is the birthplace of a Free Speech Movement and it’s also encompasses a lot of far-reaching suburbs like Danville, Walnut Creek, Pleasanton, Livermore, and Freemont.” A home to many of the restaurants central to the creation of California cuisine. “There’s such a mix of not only geography but cultures and people.”
