Things to do in Las Vegas before the big game

You’re in Las Vegas for the weekend to see your team play at Allegiant Stadium.  But what is there to do before the big game?  Follow our itinerary for fun- and sports-filled days leading up to kickoff.

Day 1

Pole Position Raceway

Race into your day at Pole Position Raceway and get behind the wheel of some of the fastest indoor go-karts in the country.  Be sure to also check out its new Omni Virtual Reality Suite.  Pole Position Raceway offers several racing options. The most-popular go kart racing format is our Arrive & Drive program that allows customers to show up individually or in small groups and race in standard races. These kart races last approximately 10 minutes. Allegiant Stadium Tour

Pump up the excitement before attending a game at Allegiant Stadium with a guided behind-the-scenes tour of ultra-exclusive areas, including private suites, locker rooms and even the field.  Tours are approximately 75 minutes in length and include over one (1) mile of walking.  Comfortable walking shoes are encouraged.  No heels or metal bottom shoes.  Tickets are available online approximately five (5) weeks in advance. Day 2

Supercar Driving or Ride-Along Experience

Dream Racing is located 15 miles north of the Las Vegas Strip (15 min. drive), Inside the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. In order to get to the Lounge – Registration,  you will have to drive an extra 3 min following the signs for Dream Racing and drive through the tunnel to access the Superspeedway infield.  Currently operating 5 days a week, Wednesday through Sunday, closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Operating hours are 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. with the last starting time at 3:30 p.m.

Where should I stay?

Any resort you choose to stay in Las Vegas – with a huge variety of amenities, dining options and activities – will provide a great experience leading up to the big game.  On game day, Hacienda Avenue, the road leading right up to Allegiant Stadium, will be closed to vehicles, making it easy for football fans on foot to get to the stadium.  If you want to cut down on your steps that day, you can easily access Hacienda Avenue from the proximity of Mandalay Bay Resort & casino, Delano Las Vegas, Luxor Las Vegas, and Excalibur Hotel & Casino on the sound end of the Strip.  Fans staying at other resorts can take public transportation or rideshare to get to Allegiant Stadium.

As leisure and convention business returns to the destination and occupancy limits increase, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) announced the Las Vegas Monorail will resume operations at 7 a.m. on Thursday, May 27, in time for Memorial Day weekend and upon completion of all systems safety inspections.

The 3.9-mile elevated system along the Las Vegas Strip enables passengers to travel the length of the resort corridor in less than 15 minutes, at speeds of up to 50 miles per hour. Trains will continue to arrive every 4-8 minutes at each of the seven stations, including: MGM Grand, Bally’s / Paris Las Vegas, Flamingo / Caesars Palace, Harrah’s / The LINQ, Las Vegas Convention Center, Westgate / Las Vegas Convention Center, SAHARA Las Vegas.

In addition, the Clark County COVID-19 mitigation plan will expire June 1, allowing for the return of pre-pandemic guidelines that lift restrictions involving capacity limits, large gatherings and more.

The new CDC guidance on masks recommends that those who are not vaccinated continue wearing masks and following social distancing and other precautions until fully vaccinated. The guidance allows fully vaccinated people to stop wearing face coverings in crowds and in many indoor locations.

Additionally, masks still must be worn in hospitals and healthcare facilities and on planes, buses, trains, and other forms of public transportation traveling into, within, or out of the United States, and in transportation hubs such as airports and stations.
