The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, Investments & Aviation (BMOTIA) has expressed its excitement over JetBlue’s recent announcement to launch a groundbreaking nonstop flight from Los Angeles to Nassau. This new service will establish a direct link between the United States West Coast and the captivating Islands of The Bahamas, commencing on November 4th. The weekly Saturday flight will depart from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and arrive at Nassau’s Sir Lynden Pindling Airport (NAS).

JetBlue’s decision to introduce nonstop service from Los Angeles to Nassau comes at a strategic time, just days before the Ministry of Tourism’s highly anticipated “Bringing The Bahamas to You” Global Sales Mission Tour in California from June 12th to 15th. During this three-day tour, the delegation will make stops in Los Angeles and Costa Mesa, showcasing the latest tourism offerings and developments across the 16-island destination. Additionally, the event will shed light on The Bahamas’ rich film legacy and commemorate the remarkable 50th Anniversary of Independence.

The Los Angeles/Nassau nonstop route holds the promise of enhanced connectivity, particularly for major markets in Asia and the Pacific. As a result, The Bahamas’ diverse 16 destinations will become more easily accessible to a broader range of prospective visitors. Notably, JetBlue’s new Los Angeles/Nassau route will also feature their esteemed Mint premium service, which has earned accolades for its exceptional quality and comfort.

With the launch of this exciting nonstop flight, The Bahamas is set to strengthen its position as a premier travel destination, forging new connections and catering to the evolving needs of travelers from around the globe.
