The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority (IFEZ), led by Commissioner Yun Wonsok, opened the ‘INCHEON-IFEZ’ booth at CES 2025 in Las Vegas, USA, on January 7. Located in the AI Zone of the North Hall at the Las Vegas Convention Center, the booth spans 1,500 square feet and symbolizes Incheon’s global connectivity. It draws inspiration from iconic local landmarks like the Incheon Bridge and Incheon International Airport.
The booth, themed “Urban Renaissance: Building Tomorrow’s Smart Cities Today”, is divided into four thematic zones: Health & Safety, Urban Intelligence, Eco Harmony, and X-Tech. This immersive exhibition demonstrates Incheon’s forward-thinking approach to integrating technology, sustainability, and human well-being, offering attendees a vision of the future of urban development.
Incheon’s Vision for Sustainable Smart Cities
Following the booth’s unveiling, the “Unveiled Incheon” media stage event took place, drawing over 30 international media outlets. In a video message, Incheon’s Mayor Yoo Jeongbok emphasized the city’s dedication to developing a sustainable urban ecosystem where technology, people, and nature coexist. He stated, “Incheon aims to become a global hub for innovation, focusing on sustainability and international collaboration.”
IFEZ Commissioner Yun Wonsok presented Incheon’s smart city vision, highlighting key initiatives to position IFEZ as a leader in smart city development. He stressed the importance of sharing IFEZ’s smart city models, promoting startups, and developing bio-clusters, ensuring Incheon’s place as a global leader in urban innovation.

Throughout CES 2025, IFEZ hosted several networking events to strengthen its global presence and expand business collaborations. The “All Connected Incheon Night” on January 7 brought together Incheon’s innovative startups, global corporations, and urban stakeholders to explore future partnerships. On January 8, presentations by leading companies such as LG Electronics, Lotte Innovate, and the Stanford Center Korea showcased IFEZ’s smart city solutions. On January 9, IFEZ hosted more than 30 global investors, presenting Incheon’s innovative startups and facilitating future collaborations.

CES 2025 saw 12 Incheon-based startups win 13 CES Innovation Awards across categories such as AI, digital health, and smart cities. Notable award-winning startups included:
