In the summer of 2023, Stephen’s renowned “Babylon By Bus Summer Tour” made a return. The tour commenced in San Diego, CA, with the San Diego County Fair hosting a special guest, Hirie, on Saturday, June 24.
It then journeyed through California before reaching Colorado, Salt Lake City, Las Vegas, Chicago, Cape Cod, Brooklyn, NY, and various other destinations. The tour culminated in a memorable finale in Florida in August, featuring a hand-picked lineup of support artists including Fortunate Youth, Skip Marley, Jesse Royal, Hirie, Arise Roots, and Roots of Creation.
Stephen “Ragga” Marley, a highly acclaimed singer, songwriter, and producer, had achieved an impressive feat of securing eight Grammy Awards throughout his career. With his rich musical lineage as the son of reggae legends Bob Marley and Rita Marley, Stephen embarked on his professional singing career at the tender age of 6. He toured the world alongside his elder siblings Ziggy, Sharon, and Cedella as part of The Melody Makers.
In 2008, Stephen’s solo debut album, “Mind Control,” took the music scene by storm and earned him the prestigious Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album. He continued to captivate hearts with albums like “Mind Control Acoustic,” “Revelation Part I: The Root of Life,” and “Revelation Part II: The Fruit of Life.” Stephen’s collaboration with his brother Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley on the cross-genre hit “Welcome To Jamrock” further solidified his status as a revered producer.
Recently, Stephen unveiled his latest single, “Old Soul,” which showcased a captivating departure from his reggae roots. It revealed Stephen’s soulful and bluesy acoustic side, adding a new dimension to his musical repertoire.
