The newly inaugurated Four Seasons Resort and Residences Cabo San Lucas at Cabo Del Sol has opened its doors to guests. Situated just 30 minutes from Los Cabos International Airport (SJD) and 15 minutes from Cabo San Lucas private airport (CSL), this resort embodies a modern take on the traditional Mexican hacienda. Designed by architect Robert Glazier and designers Meyer Davis and EDG, the resort blends traditional Mexican elements with contemporary luxury, creating a vibrant Riviera-style village. It features 96 guest rooms and suites, alongside 61 residences, villas, and estates, all offering stunning views of the Sea of Cortez. The resort also boasts eight restaurants and bars, three swimming pools, a spacious spa, a private art gallery, a retail shop showcasing local artisans, a Kids For All Seasons club, and the Baja 360° Adventure Centre.

Guests are welcomed in La Plaza, a cobblestone square, where the gentle breeze from the Sea of Cortez greets them as they enter La Casona, the heart of the resort. The traditional check-in process is replaced by a more relaxed experience, with guests enjoying a cool drink on an oversized sofa instead of standing at a front desk, fostering an immediate sense of home and comfort.

The accommodations set a new benchmark for luxury beachfront living, featuring expansive spaces and thoughtful design. Retractable, floor-to-ceiling glass doors merge indoor and outdoor areas, leading to private terraces with plunge pools and outdoor showers, all overlooking the Sea of Cortez.

Culinary enthusiasts will be delighted by the resort’s eight unique dining and drinking venues. Guided by Executive Chef Miguel Baltazar and Food and Beverage Director Matt Myers, guests can indulge in a variety of experiences, from casual poolside lunches to Mediterranean-style dinners, lively gatherings at La Casona lobby bar, and chic evenings under the stars at Sora, Cabo’s only oceanfront rooftop bar at a luxury resort. The dining options take guests on a gastronomic journey, blending international flavors with Mexico’s rich culinary heritage, using locally sourced ingredients and inventive cooking methods.

At Palmerio, Chef Baltazar presents a Mediterranean homage to the Baja Peninsula, featuring dishes from Provence and Liguria prepared with locally sourced Pesca con Futuro certified seafood and regional produce. The menu showcases local farmers and artisanal producers, with chefs and waitstaff sharing the stories behind each dish.

Bar Brisal, inspired by the casual beachside marisquerías and food carts of Sinaloa, Sonora, and Baja, offers a mixology-forward experience. Internationally acclaimed Mexican chef-restaurateur Richard Sandoval collaborates on Coraluz, a beach club-style Baja restaurant, and Cayao, opening later this year, which will feature Japanese-Peruvian Nikkei cuisine. Chef Sandoval also contributed to the dining and drink menus at Sora Rooftop Bar.

Coming later this year is Mercado, a village-inspired café and marketplace, perfect for enjoying locally roasted coffee or preparing picnic lunches for a day of exploration. The resort offers numerous epicurean experiences, including tequila tastings in the Agave Gallery and a “pasta lab” where Chef Alberto Saavedra teaches the art of handmade pasta for Palmerio restaurant.

Children under five dine for free at all the resort’s restaurants, making it an ideal destination for families.

Situated along the picturesque southern coast of Baja where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific Ocean, the swimmable beach at Four Seasons Resort and Residences Cabo San Lucas at Cabo Del Sol offers crystal-clear waters perfect for snorkeling, scuba diving, and freediving. These activities, along with shoreline surf-fishing, stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), boogie boarding, kayaking, and riding a water-skimming Schiller bike, can be arranged through the Resort’s Baja 360° Adventure Centre.

Families and friends can enjoy impromptu beach games or embark on boat expeditions to explore El Arco, the iconic Los Cabos Arch. From November to April, guests can witness whale watching from the shore, and the secluded location offers excellent stargazing opportunities.

The resort features three spacious pools and hot tubs: an adults-only pool, a family pool with shallow splash areas, and a spa pool, all set in tropical, garden-like surroundings with views of the Sea of Cortez. Complimentary shaded loungers encircle each pool, and private cabanas are available for daily rental.

For those seeking relaxation or rejuvenation, Four Seasons offers personalized Pilates, yoga, and active meditation sessions. The ocean-view fitness center, designed by celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak, provides spin classes and state-of-the-art equipment.

At Tierra Mar Spa, the local Kumiai tribe’s secrets are integrated into modern treatments that utilize indigenous botanicals for their healing properties. The spa includes ten treatment rooms, two couples’ suites, and offers skincare from 111SKIN by Dr. Yannis Alexandrides and farm-to-face brand Apotheca Beauty. The full-service salon and nail bar also feature the Mexican cosmetics line Xixanthe.

Golf enthusiasts can enjoy the award-winning Cabo Del Sol golf course, with ocean views, originally designed by Tom Weiskopf and recently renovated by Fry Straka.

Younger guests can explore their creativity at Papalote (Spanish for “kite”), the resort’s fully supervised and complimentary Kids For All Seasons facility for children ages 4 to 12. Daily activities may include sandcastle building, pirate treasure hunts, kids’ yoga, and wildlife discovery walks.
