Exploring Sammy’s Island: Summer Entertainment at Palms Casino Resort

On May 17, Palms Casino Resort introduces Sammy’s Island, a collaboration with Sammy Hagar, at Palms Pool. The venue will offer themed bars and entertainment, including the “All Star Jam” concert series beginning July 20, featuring Sixwire and renowned rock artists such as Mark McGrath, Matt Scannell, The Rembrandts, and Emerson Hart.

Yachtley Crew and GRAMMY Award-winning reggae artist Shaggy are scheduled to perform in July and August, respectively. Sammy’s Island at Palms Pool operates daily from 10 am to 6 pm, offering an oasis experience for guests. Local visitors over 21 can access the pool for free, with complimentary cabanas available Monday to Thursday upon presentation of a valid Nevada ID.

Other notable features and programming include:

• Themed Bars: Guests can immerse themselves in the island ambiance at four themed bars, such as the Tequileria offering a variety of tequila flights, the Tiki Bar serving five tropical cocktails, and the Shark and Surf bars.
• Red Rocker Themed Bungalows: Luxurious accommodations await in four Red Rocker Themed Bungalows, complete with bespoke decor, private plunge pools, and exclusive access to Red Rocker Lager on tap.

Weekly programming includes:

Mondays: “Swimdustry” locals/industry day featuring DJ JD LIVE and exclusive drink specials. Pre-registration is required. Local guests can enjoy $19.42 shots of Don Julio 1942 Reposado, with the first 100 receiving a free Heineken or Dos Equis upon presenting ID at the door. Bottles of Ketel One Vodka, Don Julio Blanco Tequila, and Captain Morgan Spiced Rum are available for $150.

Fridays: “Ladies First” offers DJ Jenna Palmer, J-Bray, and enticing cocktail packages. Ladies can reserve cabanas for $100 and receive a complimentary glass of champagne between 10 am – 12 noon. All-day cocktail features include $59 upgraded unlimited packages.

Saturdays: “Sunkissed Saturday” features DJ Rick Gee, interactive entertainment, and family-friendly games.

Sundays: “Island Vybez” with DJ Big Body Cisco, live bands, and refreshing drink specials.

Throughout the week, guests can enjoy live music, Maui-jito specials, Kona Lager cans, and bottle features including Sammy Beach Bar Rum and Santo Blanco Tequila.
