Gaâla, the sustainable luxury womenswear brand, has recently launched its latest collection called ‘La Vie en Amour’, a wedding boutique line that features timeless and classic bridal wear. The husband and wife duo behind Gaâla, Kelly de Gaâlon, and Alexander Zhalezka, founded the brand in 2019 with a mission to promote environmental sustainability and create exquisite womenswear. The ‘La Vie en Amour’ bridal collection is handmade by European artisans using sustainable fabrics, including upcycled textiles and deadstock materials from fashion houses.
Kelly de Gaâlon shared that she was inspired to start the brand because of her childhood experiences of wearing hand-me-downs that her mother would sew by hand. As an adult, she found it challenging to find high-quality clothing that was accessible and timeless. With her passion for design, she started sketching her own designs and partnered with skilled tailors to bring her ideas to life.
The brand’s core value of sustainability is evident in its efforts to give surplus materials a second life while creating exquisite pieces that represent grace and bridal femininity.
The collection is designed with a slow fashion approach, ensuring that each piece is a wardrobe staple that can be cherished and restyled time and again. Each dress in the collection is unique, with quantities often limited to only two or three pieces in one fabric.
The launch of Gaâla’s wedding boutique collection is a significant step toward their commitment to environmental sustainability and slow fashion. Each piece in the collection represents the brand’s design aesthetic, which is a blend of modernity and tradition, encapsulating the essence of feminine, sensual, and effortless beauty.
The Coralie dress, made from upcycled Heavy Luxe Matte Silk with a luxurious stretch, offers both comfort and beauty to the bride who wears it, allowing for billowy movement throughout the ceremony and reception.
The Camilla dress, crafted from upcycled Heavy Luxe Matte Silk, features an exquisite design that seamlessly follows the curves of the wearer, finished with a dramatic lace-up back that adds understated glamour to the ensemble.
The Jossel dress, with its vibrant floral print, is crafted from upcycled Crepe de Chine Silk and has a high halter neckline with a tie closure and an open-back design that accentuates the waistline before flowing into a fluid midi skirt.
With ‘La Vie en Amour’, Gaâla has once again demonstrated its commitment to creating exquisite, timeless pieces that are both sustainable and luxurious, making it the perfect choice for any bride who wants to look stunning while promoting environmental sustainability.
