Important Information on the reopening of Disneyland and Disney’s hotels

Disneyland park and Disney California Adventure park plan to reopen on April 30.  Theme park reservations will be available online, in advance only, for a specific date, subject to availability.

Theme Park Reservations: To enter Disneyland park or Disney California Adventure park, both a theme park reservation and valid admission ticket for the same park on the same date are required for guests ages 3 and up. Guests must have a valid theme park admission ticket in order to make a reservation. Theme park reservations will be limited and subject to availability and, until further notice, only California residents may visit the parks, and in groups no larger than 3 households, in line with current state guidelines.  Proof of residency may be required.  

Here are some key dates to remember:

  • April 9: If you currently hold a theme park ticket, you can check available days for your 1-day ticket type beginning April 9 on Disneyland.com/ParksUpdates.
  • April 12: The theme park reservation system will open no earlier than 8 a.m. PT on April 12 and guests who already have valid theme park tickets may begin making park reservations.
  • April 15: Theme park ticket sales will resume no earlier than 8 a.m. PT on April 15, and guests without park tickets may begin purchasing tickets and making park reservations.

Additional Information includes:

  • Prior to purchasing tickets, be sure to view theme park reservation availability.
  • Guests who purchase or have a Park Hopper ticket and an appropriate park reservation may visit the second park on the same day beginning at 1 PM.
  • Magic Morning and Extra Magic Hour offerings will be suspended upon reopening of our hotels and theme parks 
  • Parades and nighttime spectaculars will return at a later date
  • While character meet-and-greets will be temporarily unavailable, characters will be in our parks in new ways

Tip: If you plan to visit the theme parks during your stay, get your theme park reservation prior to making your hotel reservation. 

Guests with Park Hopper tickets may choose, pending availability, which theme park to start their day, when making their theme park reservations, and then will be able to visit the other park beginning at 1 p.m. that day. Guests with multi-day tickets will be required to make a separate park reservation for each day they plan to visit the theme parks.

Park Hours: Upon reopening, daily park hours for Disneyland park and Disney California Adventure park are currently planned to be 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Parking: Theme park parking will be available at the Mickey & Friends and Pixar Pals parking structures, located off Disneyland Drive.

Hotels of the Disneyland Resort: Know Before You Go

The Hotels of the Disneyland Resort plan to welcome Guests once again, with a phased reopening. Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa plans to reopen on April 29, 2021 with reduced capacity. The Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is scheduled to welcome Disney Vacation Club Members beginning May 2, 2021. Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel and the Disneyland Hotel will reopen at a later date.

Pools

  • Pools and whirlpools/spas may operate with reduced hours.
  • Pools and whirlpools/spas will operate with reduced capacity to allow for physical distancing. Face covers required unless swimming in the water.
  • Poolside cabanas will be available for an additional fee.
  • Poolside activities, including pool parties and waterslides, will not be available.

Fitness

  • Fitness Centers will operate with reduced capacity to allow for physical distancing.
  • Instructor-led fitness classes will not be available.
  • Fitness centers will operate in alignment with state and county regulations.

The following activities and amenities will not be available at this time:

  • Tenaya Spa at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa
  • Select hotel dining and character dining
  • In-room dining service
  • Art of Craft Tour
  • Children’s lobby entertainment areas
  • Extra Magic Hour benefit
  • Instructor-led fitness classes
  • Special classes and programs
  • Character experiences

Some services at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa may be modified include:

  • Bell Services will deliver luggage to rooms, but will not escort Guests
  • Club-level service is temporarily unavailable
  • Deliveries may only be made to occupied rooms
  • Disney Floral & Gifts, including in-room celebrations, will not be available
  • Dry-cleaning and valet laundry services will be unavailable; self-service laundry will remain available
  • Shipping services will be unavailable

Parking

Self-parking will be available at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Valet service will be temporarily unavailable, with the exception of Guests with disabilities.

The following offerings and experiences will be available when Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa reopens.

Dining: Hearthstone Lounge, GCH Craftsman Bar, and GCH Craftsman Grill

Shops: Acorn Gifts & Goods

Activities: Eureka Fitness Center, Fountain Pool, Redwood Pool, Mariposa Pool, Poolside Cabanas
