Chick-fil-A introduces the Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich

Starting from Monday, August 28th, folks everywhere got a shot at tasting Chick-fil-A’s latest culinary gem, the Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich. It’s a cool twist on their classic original, and it’s been a long time coming. Plus, they introduced the Caramel Crumble Milkshake to sweeten the deal for the fall season. Both of these goodies were up for grabs all over the country, but only as long as they lasted.

So, after everyone raved about stuff like the Smokehouse BBQ Bacon Sandwich and the Grilled Spicy Deluxe Sandwich, the folks at Chick-fil-A decided to spice things up with their Original Chicken Sandwich, which was a first-ever move for them. 

The Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich is like a flavor explosion. They took their regular Chick-fil-A filet, slapped on some homemade creamy pimento cheese, threw in some mild pickled jalapeños, and served it all up on a warm, toasty bun drizzled with honey. Sweet, spicy, and totally delicious.

Now, when they were thinking about what would go great with their Original Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich, Chef Stuart Tracy had a few ideas. He wanted something savory, melty, and just the right amount of salty and sweet. So, he handpicked three mouthwatering ingredients to give the original a makeover:

1. Pimento Cheese: Chick-fil-A whipped up their own custom blend of sharp cheddar cheese, green chilis, and red pimentos to create this melty masterpiece that tops the original Chick-fil-A filet.

2. Jalapeños: These weren’t your regular jalapeños. Chick-fil-A went all out and sourced some mildly pickled ones just for this sandwich. They added a bit of heat to balance out the sweet and salty flavors.

3. Honey: A drizzle of honey on that warm, toasty bun brought it all together with a sweet touch.

After tinkering around with nearly 30 sandwich ideas for over a year and testing them out in places like Asheville, N.C., and upstate South Carolina in 2020, they finally decided that the Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich was the one to go nationwide. People couldn’t get enough of its incredible taste and value, putting it right up there with the OG Original Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich.

Now, onto the sweet stuff. The Caramel Crumble Milkshake is like a cozy fall hug in a cup. Creamy butterscotch caramel flavors, hand-spun Chick-fil-A Icedream®, blondie crumbles, and a whipped cream and cherry to top it all off. 

Folks have been loving Chick-fil-A’s seasonal milkshakes since 2006, and they can’t wait to try each new flavor. When they whipped up the seventh seasonal milkshake, Chef Christy Cook got inspired by the caramelized goodness you find at the bottom of a blondie pan. After testing it out in Salt Lake City in 2021 and getting a big thumbs up, they knew the Caramel Crumble Milkshake (formerly known as the Butterscotch Crumble Milkshake) was gonna be the next shake sensation.
