Nikon Corporation will participate in CES 2025, one of the world’s largest digital technology trade shows, taking place from January 7 to 10 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Nikon booth (#19504) will be located in the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC), where the company will present an array of innovative technologies aimed at shaping the future of human-machine co-creation.
As outlined in its Medium-Term Management Plan, Nikon is striving to become a leading technology solutions provider by 2030, with a focus on seamless integration between humans and machines. The CES 2025 booth will feature immersive, interactive exhibits showcasing Nikon’s state-of-the-art products, technological advancements, and collaborative initiatives with various industry partners.
A highlight of Nikon’s presence at CES 2025 is the Nikon Z6III mirrorless camera, which has been named a CES Innovation Awards® 2025 Honoree in the Imaging category. The Z6III, equipped with the world’s first partially stacked CMOS sensor, offers ultra-fast readout speeds, high frame rates, and exceptional versatility, making it a top choice for photographers and videographers. The Z6III will be displayed at the Innovation Awards Showcase at CES, alongside other Z series mirrorless cameras and lenses.
Key Exhibits at Nikon’s CES 2025 Booth:
- Immersive Video Content: A drone video produced by Nikon Creates Corporation will be shown at the booth entrance on two large screens (7m x 3m and 2.5m x 3m). This content will offer visitors an immersive experience, showcasing Nikon’s advanced video capabilities.
- Robot Vision System: Nikon will demonstrate a robot vision system in a futuristic kitchen setting. The system, which integrates dynamic vision and advanced image processing technology, allows robots to pick up objects with speed, flexibility, and precision. Nikon’s “C3 eMotion” technology, designed for robotic joints, will be featured in the demonstration.
- Riblet Processing Technology: Inspired by shark skin, Nikon’s laser processing technology creates microscopic grooves on materials to reduce frictional resistance. This technology enhances energy efficiency in various industries. Visitors will have the opportunity to see materials processed with riblet technology and engage in a quiz via a touch panel screen.
- In-Vehicle Camera System: Co-developed with Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation, the in-vehicle camera system integrates telephoto and wide-angle lens capabilities. Visitors will experience this innovative system through VR footage, offering a view from inside a truck that displays both distant and nearby surroundings simultaneously.
- Nikon Z Series Mirrorless Cameras and Lenses: The booth will feature Nikon’s latest Z Series cameras and lenses. Attendees can also have their portraits taken by a professional photographer using the Nikon Z50II, capturing a high-quality headshot or social media profile picture.
- NASA Collaboration – Handheld Universal Lunar Camera (HULC): Nikon has entered into a Space Act agreement with NASA to support the Artemis mission with the development of a Handheld Universal Lunar Camera (HULC). Visitors will see displays related to the camera, including a thermal insulation blanket designed to protect it from the harsh lunar environment.
- Virtual Production Studio: Nikon will host an experiential exhibit, “Studio Extreme*,” where visitors can create videos blending real and virtual worlds. This will utilize the Studiobot LT motion control system from Nikon’s subsidiary, Mark Roberts Motion Control Limited (MRMC), and a cinema camera from RED Digital Cinema, a Nikon subsidiary since 2024.
