Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas is set to expand its presence in Thailand with the opening of Anantara Koh Yao Yai Resorts this year.
Koh Yao Yai, one of Thailand’s last remaining untouched islands, is situated halfway between Krabi and Phuket in the heart of Phang Nga Bay. Visitors to the island can enjoy traditional Thai culture, regional cuisine, and serene beaches dotted with palm and coconut trees, as well as island-hopping, snorkeling, and diving in the area’s rich coral and marine life. The island’s economy is based on coconut and rubber plantations, as well as local fishing villages, and guests can take a tuk-tuk tour of these areas or observe the native hornbill birds.
The Anantara Koh Yao Yai Resort is located on the water’s edge, offering a tranquil retreat with 148 keys, including beachfront pool villas and spacious suites housed in low-rise buildings with ocean views. The resort also features a freeform swimming pool and an organic farm that supplies the onsite restaurants with fresh fruits, vegetables, and spices.
Dining options range from an ocean-facing dining restaurant that serves Thai/Asian cuisine, an all-day lobby restaurant and bar with an international menu, to a pool bar for adults and a vibrant space for families. The resort caters to families with amenities such as Grand Seaview Family Suites with a slide and play area, and Lagoon Pool Villas with a private plunge pool and luxury amenities.
Scheduled to open in Summer 2023
