At Adobe MAX, Adobe announced the general availability of the next generation of Frame.io, expanding its industry-leading video post-production platform with powerful new features. This update builds on Frame.io’s robust asset management capabilities, adding support for photo, design, and other creative workflows, making it a comprehensive tool for content collaboration. Teams can now centralize media, organize assets, and streamline feedback processes, all within a single platform.

In addition to these enhancements, Adobe revealed that Canon, Nikon, and Leica have joined the Camera to Cloud (C2C) ecosystem, bringing seamless, secure media transfer directly from the camera to the cloud. This integration gives Frame.io the largest Camera to Cloud ecosystem in the industry, providing photographers and videographers with the fastest, most efficient way to get their media from capture to editing.

With over 4 million users, including brands like Google, Pepsi, WPP, and Yeti, and productions such as Wednesday and The Jinx, Frame.io has become essential for video production workflows, enabling teams to collaborate in real-time from any location. This latest update allows creatives to work not just on video, but across photography and design projects, all within the same platform.

Since its beta release, the new Frame.io has simplified media asset management, helping teams deliver content efficiently. It now features a customizable metadata model, which allows for better organization of assets into “Collections.” These can be tailored to specific workflows like multi-stage reviews, client approvals, and dailies distribution.

Other new features include a state-of-the-art custom streaming player for improved playback, a redesigned comparison viewer for version tracking, and deeper integrations with Premiere Pro and Lightroom, enhancing workflows for both video and photography projects. The platform also includes enhanced features for sharing, commenting, and enterprise-level security, making Frame.io more intuitive and customizable than ever.

The Camera to Cloud (C2C) platform has transformed production workflows for films, TV series, live events, and more, by enabling rapid media transfer from set to post-production. With the addition of Canon, Nikon, and Leica, Adobe expands its offering, giving more photographers and videographers the ability to organize, review, and share media seamlessly. This eliminates the need for manual file transfers or waiting for physical media to arrive.

These new partnerships allow photographers to automatically transfer images to Lightroom through Frame.io’s C2C integration, enabling real-time collaboration. Teams can edit photos immediately after capture, share feedback, and export directly to social media or back to Frame.io for delivery, streamlining the entire photo workflow.

The updated Frame.io is designed to support a variety of creative processes, from managing audition tapes, organizing location scouting reports, to overseeing daily footage reviews and marketing campaigns. Its customizable features make it suitable for every stage of content production, enhancing productivity and collaboration across teams.

The next generation of Frame.io V4 is now available for all users across Free, Pro, Team, and Enterprise plans, providing an all-in-one solution for video, photo, and design asset management and collaboration.
