The world premiere of Accountant 2, produced by Amazon MGM Studios, took place at SXSW on Saturday, March 8, 2025, in Austin, Texas. The event was attended by Director Gavin O’Connor, star and producer Ben Affleck, stars Jon Bernthal, Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Daniella Pineda, Allison Robertson, Grant Harvey, Presley Anderson, Vincent Juskalian, Avery Taylor, producer Lynette Howell Taylor, and executive producers Dani Bernfeld, Allison Winter, and Matt Damon.
The film, directed by Gavin O’Connor, was produced by Ben Affleck, Lynette Howell Taylor p.g.a., and Mark Williams, with a screenplay written by Bill Dubuque. The cast included Ben Affleck, Jon Bernthal, Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Daniella Pineda, Allison Robertson, and J.K. Simmons.
In the film, Christian Wolff (Ben Affleck) returns with his exceptional talent for solving complex problems. After an old acquaintance is murdered, leaving behind a cryptic message to “find the accountant,” Wolff takes on the challenge. Realizing more drastic measures are required, he enlists the help of his estranged and highly lethal brother, Brax (Jon Bernthal). Working alongside U.S. Treasury Deputy Director Marybeth Medina (Cynthia Addai-Robinson), they uncover a dangerous conspiracy and become targets of a ruthless network of killers determined to keep their secrets hidden.
