Scheduled for an early 2024 debut, Cardo Roma, Autograph Collection, marks the inaugural venture of Cardo Hotels. As part of the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio, Autograph Collection Hotels, the resort is located in Rome’s vibrant Esposizione Universale Roma (EUR) district.
Originally crafted by renowned architect Lucio Passarelli, the extensively renovated hotel will boast 324 guestrooms and suites, offering innovative facilities for both business and leisure. The aim is to create a creative hub for travelers seeking unique workspaces and meaningful experiences that connect them with the local culture.
Award-winning designer Saar Zafrir, based in Amsterdam, has brought the hotel’s interiors to life, drawing inspiration from ancient Roman history. The design reflects the concept of “otium,” conveying indulgence, luxury, and comfort. The elegant palette, reminiscent of the Roman Empire, includes rich olive green, warm terracotta, and subtly sophisticated off-white.
The hotel features 324 rooms spread across different categories on seven guest floors, each equipped with smart technologies such as keyless entry and a tablet acting as a digital concierge. The hotel’s standout feature is its expansive 3,100sqm meeting and event space, positioning Cardo Roma as a top destination for local and international business and social gatherings.
Two distinctive dining venues, Vertici restaurant and Vertici Bar, offer authentic Italian cuisine with a contemporary twist, along with a pool bar, Spectio, for alfresco cocktails and snacks. The hotel also emphasizes wellness with Olea Wellness and Spa, featuring four pools, sauna, hammam, and six treatment rooms using products from the renowned French brand Cinq Mondes.
Cardo Roma’s commitment to a personalized boutique approach redefines the city’s hospitality scene, blending work, leisure, and wellness. The hotel’s expansion continues in 2024 with the addition of Cardo Brussels, Autograph Collection, the brand’s second property.
