In June 2024, Bugatti reached a historic milestone with the global debut of the Tourbillon. This event marked the beginning of a new chapter for the brand, capturing the attention of car enthusiasts across the globe. Following its record-breaking launch at Bugatti’s home in Molsheim, the Tourbillon continued to impress audiences from Qatar to Singapore and Japan. Recently, this exceptional car made its way to Shanghai and Hong Kong, showcasing Bugatti’s blend of tradition and innovation in two of the world’s most dynamic cities.

Shanghai and Hong Kong, known for their rich history and cutting-edge modernity, provided the perfect backdrop for the Tourbillon. This car is a masterpiece of design and engineering, inspired by legendary Bugatti models such as the Type 57 Atlantic, Type 41 Royale, Type 35, and Veyron. At the same time, it represents a bold step forward, setting new standards for high-performance hyper sports cars.

In Shanghai, the Tourbillon fit naturally into the city’s contrasting landscapes. In Puxi, the historic heart of the city, the car was displayed on The Bund, a famous waterfront area featuring a mix of classical and modern architecture. Across the Huangpu River in Pudong, the Tourbillon stood against the city’s futuristic skyline, including landmarks like the Oriental Pearl TV Tower and the Shanghai Tower. This contrast between heritage and innovation echoed Bugatti’s own story.

The car was also showcased at the Kingsway Apex showroom in Jing’an, a sleek modern venue that emphasized Bugatti’s forward-thinking approach. At exclusive private events, guests had the chance to explore the Tourbillon up close and experience Bugatti’s world-class craftsmanship and hospitality.

After Shanghai, the Tourbillon traveled to Hong Kong, where it continued to amaze. It was presented alongside the Jacob & Co. Tourbillon timepiece, a luxury watch inspired by the car. The watch features a unique design with a V16 engine block mechanism inside a clear sapphire case, highlighting the connection between automotive and watchmaking artistry.

In Hong Kong, the Tourbillon toured a variety of iconic locations. At Lin Fa Temple, a historic site dedicated to the goddess Kwun Yam, the car’s timeless design complemented the cultural significance of the temple. It also appeared at Murray House, a beautifully restored 19th-century building overlooking the island’s peaceful southern coast.

The Tourbillon found a natural setting in West Kowloon, a district known for its mix of urban art and historical landmarks. Its striking design felt right at home in this vibrant area. The journey concluded at the East Coast Park Precinct, a newly developed waterfront space with stunning views of the harbor. Here, the Tourbillon symbolized the balance between tradition and modernity that defines both Hong Kong and Bugatti.

Through its journey in Shanghai and Hong Kong, the Tourbillon demonstrated how Bugatti continues to honor its past while embracing the future. Its presence in these cities celebrated the values of heritage, innovation, and excellence that have always defined the brand.
