The Turin Auto Show is officially underway, bringing the latest innovations from 43 automakers, stunning prototypes from top coachbuilders, and the stars of motorsport to the heart of the city. From Piazza Carlo Felice to Piazza Castello, and along Via Roma, Piazza San Carlo, and Piazzetta Reale, the event has turned Turin’s center into a celebration of automotive excellence.
Kicking things off with a dynamic opening in Piazza San Carlo, the evolution of mobility was showcased in front of key figures, including Senator Matteo Salvini, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, and other prominent officials like Andrea Tronzano, Piergiorgio Re, Chiara Foglietta, and Dario Gallina.

A Journey Through 200 Years of Mobility

The parade celebrating 200 years of mobility, narrated by journalist Savina Confaloni, began with a nod to the past—horse-drawn carriages from the 1800s made their way from Piazza San Carlo to Piazza Castello via Via Roma. The Pack Phaeton, Landau, and Omnibus carriages brought history to life, with Turin’s beloved mascots Gianduja and Giacometta adding extra charm for the enthusiastic crowd.

The show continued with a glimpse of the first motorized vehicles: the 1879 Trinci & Figlio steam carriage, followed by the iconic 1902 Fiat 12hp “Tonneau” from the MAUTO collection, with Benedetto Camerana, President of MAUTO, and Davide Lorenzon, curator of the Automobile Museum, onboard.

From horse-drawn carriages to early engines, the parade highlighted the creativity and design innovation of the automotive world. Prototypes from the industry’s leading coachbuilders were honored by officials before they took to the streets in front of the crowd. A special moment was dedicated to the memory of the late Paolo Pininfarina before the festivities continued.

From electric hypercars to sustainable innovation, the show highlighted groundbreaking models such as the Voyah Courage, BYD Seal U DMI, Tesla Cybertruck, Peugeot e-5008, FIAT’s 600 Hybrid Abarth, and more. The lineup was a perfect blend of sleek design and eco-conscious technology, all with a nod to the future of the auto industry.

The show wasn’t just about innovation—it was also a celebration of racing passion. From Formula 1 classics to motorsport royalty, the crowd was treated to cars like the Aston Martin V12 Vantage, FIAT 131 Racing Prototype, Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione, and legendary rally cars from Lancia Delta’s glory days.
