At the Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach, Shai Salon has introduced a new afternoon tea experience inspired by the timeless traditions of apothecary. Upon arrival, guests are greeted warmly by the inviting aromas that fill the air of Shai Salon. Led by an experienced herbalist, guests embark on a sensory journey, savoring a meticulously curated selection of sweet and savory dishes infused with nourishing herbs. Each dish is designed to reflect the expertise of an apothecary, where specific herbs were historically chosen for their unique properties and effects, enhancing both culinary enjoyment and well-being.

Named “The Herbalist’s Apothecary,” the experience celebrates the heritage of herbalism, intertwining culinary delights with medicinal tradition. Before the afternoon tea service commences, guests are treated to a refreshing palate cleanser blending blackberry, passion fruit, honey, and Earl Grey tea. Senior Executive Pastry Chef Nicolas Lambert has crafted an exquisite menu featuring creations like Almond and Blueberry Lemon Balm Cookies, where almond and blueberry flavors are complemented by refreshing citrus notes of lemon balm known for its relaxation properties.

Sweet offerings also include the Strawberry and Basil Cheesecake, combining juicy strawberries with peppery basil for a delightful fusion of flavors and health benefits. The Chocolate and Mint Opera delights with its rich dark chocolate ganache infused with mint, offering antioxidant benefits alongside its indulgent taste.

On the savory side, the Sustainable Prawn with Chervil on brioche showcases poached prawns enriched with vitamin-rich chervil and a creamy blend of sour cream and cream cheese. Another highlight is the Dill Cucumber and Labneh in Spinach Bread, pairing crisp cucumber with probiotic-rich labneh and antioxidant-packed dill.

Guests can further explore the aromatic world of locally sourced herbs at a dedicated apothecary display in the lounge, enhancing the immersive experience. This unique afternoon tea is priced at AED 240 per person or AED 420 for two, available daily from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at Shai Salon. Additionally, Shai Salon welcomes guests daily from 7:00 am to 1:00 am, with live piano music adding to the ambiance on select evenings.
