In the heart of Metropolitan Tokyo, the TOKYO Night & Light projection mapping show transforms the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Main Building No. 1 into a vibrant canvas of light and sound. As an iconic Tokyo landmark, the building hosts this nightly spectacle throughout the year, offering a captivating new attraction that illuminates the city’s nightscape.

This innovative project has earned a Guinness World Record™ for being the “Largest architectural projection-mapped display (permanent).” Since its debut on February 25, 2024, it has drawn over 200,000 visitors within the first three months.

On weekends and holidays, the show highlights “Godzilla: Attack on Tokyo,” featuring the legendary Godzilla in celebration of his 70th anniversary. A life-sized, 100-meter tall projection of Godzilla, as seen in the “VS Series” films, dominates the facade of the Metropolitan Government Building. The thrilling battle against the advanced anti-Godzilla weapon “Super X2 modified” is a highlight that captivates audiences.

Additionally, the show includes “Ukiyo,” a segment inspired by the traditional Ukiyo-e paintings from the Edo period (1603-1868). These artworks, known for their vivid and delicate portrayal of daily life, are reimagined using AI-generated visuals and CG, blending the historical art form with contemporary pop culture.

This extraordinary projection mapping show offers a unique opportunity to experience Japanese culture on an unparalleled scale, making it a must-see attraction in Tokyo.
