In “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire,” the Spengler family returns to where it all started – the iconic New York City firehouse – to team up with the original Ghostbusters. They have developed a top-secret research lab to elevate ghost-busting to the next level. However, when the discovery of an ancient artifact unleashes an evil force, Ghostbusters, both new and old, must unite to protect their home and save the world from a second Ice Age.
Directed by Gil Kenan, the screenplay is written by Gil Kenan and Jason Reitman. The film is based on the 1984 film “Ghostbusters,” an Ivan Reitman production written by Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis. Ivan Reitman, Jason Reitman, and Jason Blumenfeld serve as producers, with executive producers including Dan Aykroyd, JoAnn Perritano, Amie Karp, Erica Mills, and Eric Reich.
The cast includes Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace, Kumail Nanjiani, Patton Oswalt, Celeste O’Connor, Logan Kim, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Annie Potts. This Adventure/Mystery/Comedy is scheduled for release on March 22, 2024.
