Yohji Yamamoto, in collaboration with NEW ERA, is set to launch new caps and clothing for the 2023 fall/winter season, commencing on November 1. This release marks the 10th anniversary of their ongoing partnership, which began in the fall/winter of 2013. The 2023 fall/winter collection includes an extensive range of headwear, such as caps, along with clothing and mini bags.
The collection’s standout piece is the iconic “9THIRTY” cap, available in wool and stretch cotton models. The wool version is adorned with Yohji Yamamoto’s distinctive logo embroidery, while the stretch cotton variant showcases the “Y” motif featured in the illustrated lookbook for Yohji Yamamoto’s 1992 fall/winter collection.
Notably, the collaboration introduces the “Beret,” a cotton twill beret designed for lightweight comfort. It boasts a drawcord for adjustable fitting and features the signature logo with striking white embroidery against a black backdrop.
A highlight of the collection is the side tape pants, crafted from New Era limited edition pants patterns designed by Yohji Yamamoto. These pants offer a comfortable and relaxed experience with lightweight stretch cotton and are available in four different sizes.
Furthermore, the collection introduces a neck pouch, a first-time addition to the series, ideal for organizing small items. This pouch includes a main storage compartment, a zip pocket, a mesh pocket, and a removable shoulder strap for versatile usage.
The Yohji Yamamoto x New Era collection is scheduled for release on November 1, 2023, and will be available in Yohji Yamamoto directly managed stores, authorized dealers, and New Era limited stores. The pricing for the items in the collection is as follows:
