Unveiling Seabourn’s 2025-2026 Expedition Destinations

Seabourn revealed its 2025-2026 expedition itineraries, offering a chance to explore the world’s most remote and exotic destinations on their ultra-luxury expedition ships, Seabourn Venture and Seabourn Pursuit. These ships will present over 40 thrilling voyages to places like the Arctic, Antarctica, the Amazon, Australia’s Kimberley region, the South Pacific, the famed Northwest Passage, and more.

During this season, guests can look forward to an array of newly curated experiences, such as:

1. A pearl-revealing encounter in the Kimberley region, accompanied by a master pearl cultivator, while overlooking Kuri Bay in Australia.

2. A visit to the Torngat Mountains National Park in Labrador, located in the Canadian Arctic, an Inuit-run reserve that’s home to polar bears and black bears.

3. A voyage through the narrow passage of the Bellot Strait in the Northwest Passage, with opportunities to marvel at the colorful tundra and diverse wildlife.

4. An exhilarating night safari in the Amazon, offering the chance to spot nocturnal predators like black caiman as they stalk their prey along the riverbanks.

5. The opportunity to snorkel and scuba dive in the stunning coral reefs of Fiji.

Between May 2025 and March 2026, Seabourn Venture will operate 21 voyages, spanning from eight to 28 days, journeying from the Arctic to Antarctica. Commencing in May 2025, the ship will provide immersive expedition experiences in Svalbard, Iceland, and Greenland, showcasing dazzling ice formations and cultural shore excursions. The ship will explore East Greenland, meandering through some of the world’s most breathtaking and uninhabited fjords. In August 2025, Seabourn Venture will embark on the legendary Northwest Passage route, allowing guests to trace the footsteps of historic seafarers and explorers. Finally, the ship will head to Antarctica, dedicating three months to exploring the “Great White Continent,” enabling guests to navigate around towering ice formations and enjoy memorable wildlife encounters.

Starting in late March 2025, Seabourn Pursuit will embark on 20 distinctive voyages, ranging from 10 to 20 days in duration. Beginning with the South Pacific, guests will be treated to untouched coral reefs and diverse marine life while immersing themselves in the local cultures. Subsequently, the ship will journey to Australia’s Kimberley region, where passengers can experience its red sandstone gorges, rivers, waterfalls, wildlife, and Aboriginal heritage. Seabourn Pursuit will then return across the Pacific, heading to Antarctica, South Georgia, and the Falkland Islands to explore the regions’ abundant biodiversity and remarkable landscapes, situated within some of the world’s most productive seas.

Svalbard, Greenland & Iceland

Seabourn Venture presents expeditions tailored for guests seeking unique adventures into uncharted territory. The enhanced Svalbard experience by Seabourn takes travelers through regions inaccessible to many other vessels, bringing them within a mere 600 miles of the North Pole. Here, they can behold the mesmerizing ice towers and observe wildlife on pack ice, including the enigmatic polar bear, all captured through the ship’s advanced GSS Cineflex camera. These journeys facilitate connections with indigenous Arctic communities, allowing guests to delve into their rich history and profound connection with the natural world. Among the featured expedition experiences are an optional overnight stay at the luxurious Camp Kangiusaq in Greenland, a scenic driving tour of Lake Mývatn near Akureyri in Iceland, a walking exploration of Qaqortoq in southwest Greenland, and an optional adventure to discover the natural ice sculptures within Lofthellir Cave, created over thousands of years through the slow drip of water.

Seabourn Venture offers itineraries spanning from eight to 26 days, taking travelers to Svalbard from mid-May to mid-June in 2025, with routes between Reykjavik and Edinburgh or a roundtrip journey from Edinburgh. Additionally, a 12-day voyage is available for exploring Greenland, starting from Reykjavik and concluding in Kangerlussuaq in late July 2025. Both of these voyages provide the option for pre- and/or post-cruise charter hotel stays in either Edinburgh or Reykjavik.

Northwest Passage and Canadian Arctic

Seabourn Venture plans to deliver two consecutive 23-day expeditions through the fabled Northwest Passage. Travelers embarking on these remarkable journeys will be treated to the awe-inspiring spectacle of nature, illuminated by the midnight sun, as they navigate their way through colossal icebergs, surrounded by bountiful marine life and a diverse array of wildlife, including polar bears and walruses. Connecting with indigenous communities along the route will offer guests an enriched understanding of their rich history and enduring traditions, shedding light on the resilient and self-sustaining way of life they lead.

The expeditions feature various immersive experiences, such as an Arctic Circle Trail Hike in Sisimiut, Greenland; a guided tour in Pond Inlet at Nunavut, Canada, allowing guests to explore local handicrafts and engage with the Inuit community; and a scenic walk through the Sermermiut Valley to reach the Ilulissat Icefjord Centre in Ilulissat, Greenland. Numerous Zodiac and hiking excursions throughout the Northwest Passage, including stops at Beechy Island, Cambridge Bay, Bellot Strait, and more, add to the adventure. Notable destinations include the modern marvel of Ilulissat in Greenland, renowned for its colossal icebergs from the Jakobshavn Glacier, and Croker Bay on Devon Island, Nunavut, offering a Zodiac expedition deep into a glacier-fed fjord teeming with fulmars, kittiwakes, walruses, and bearded seals.

Seabourn Venture will set sail on August 6, 2025, commencing the journey from Reykjavik to Anchorage, Alaska, followed by a second voyage beginning on August 27, 2025, departing from Anchorage and returning to Reykjavik. Both of these voyages will provide the option for pre- and post-cruise charter hotel stays in Anchorage and Reykjavik.

The Amazon

Travelers have the opportunity to embark on an immersive safari-at-sea within the Amazon aboard Seabourn Venture, as the ship offers roundtrip itineraries departing from Manaus, granting exclusive access to seldom-visited regions. Guests will find themselves in the company of giant Amazonian lily pads, graceful pink botos, nocturnal owls, and photogenic hoatzin, all set against the backdrop of the Varzea ecosystem shaped by the mighty river. Accompanied by the expertise of the ship’s Expedition Team, experienced naturalists will provide on-the-spot education and guidance, offering insights into the resilient agricultural traditions of the subsistence economies that thrive within the cyclical climate of the Amazon region. The range of optional expedition experiences includes captivating kayaking excursions on the Amazon River.

Seabourn Venture has scheduled two nine-day voyages departing roundtrip from Manaus, with the first setting sail on October 12, 2025, and the second on October 21, 2025. Additionally, a 12-day voyage departing from Manaus and concluding in Rio de Janeiro will take place on October 30, 2025.

Antarctica, South Georgia and Falkland Islands

Both Seabourn Venture and Seabourn Pursuit will embark on thrilling expeditions to explore the splendor and grandeur of Antarctica. These carefully crafted itineraries will provide guests with the opportunity to partake in Zodiac excursions, allowing them to glide among towering icebergs, closely observe penguin colonies, and take guided walks and hikes across pristine, rarely-visited landscapes. For those seeking even more adventure, optional kayaking and submarine excursions will be available. Weather permitting, potential destinations on the ships’ agenda include the iconic photographic location of Lemaire Channel/Kodak Gap, the otherworldly terrain of Deception Island characterized by black, grey, and red hues, and Neko Harbour, a serene cove kissed by chilly winds, accompanied by the sound of cracking sea ice and the distant rumble of icebergs cascading into the sea.

Between November 2025 and March 2026, both Seabourn Venture and Seabourn Pursuit will undertake a total of 16 departures, featuring voyages lasting either 11 or 13 days to Antarctica. Each of these voyages includes a pre-cruise charter hotel stay in Buenos Aires and roundtrip charter flights to Ushuaia, the departure point for the ships.

The sub-Antarctic islands of South Georgia and the Falklands are blessed with an abundance of wildlife and picturesque landscapes. South Georgia is teeming with king penguins, millions of fur seals, numerous nesting albatross, rockhopper penguins, and even an indigenous songbird, the South Georgia pipit. In the Falkland Islands, guests may encounter the two inhabitants of West Point Island, overseeing their pastoral sheep farm amidst cliffs adorned with albatross nests. These voyages will feature included expedition experiences and visits to remarkable destinations like Bluff Cove Lagoon: Penguins & Tea outside of Stanley in the West Falklands, Stromness in South Georgia, which holds historic significance as the endpoint of Ernest Shackleton’s renowned expedition, and Grytviken, Shackleton’s final resting place and a living museum commemorating South Georgia’s history.

Guests have the option to choose from two 21-day voyages on Seabourn Pursuit, departing roundtrip from Buenos Aires on December 16, 2025, and February 26, 2026, or a 28-day journey on Seabourn Venture, setting sail from Rio de Janeiro to Buenos Aires on November 11, 2025. All these voyages include a pre-cruise charter hotel stay in Buenos Aires and roundtrip charter flights to Ushuaia, the embarkation point for the voyages.

Australia & the Kimberley Coast

Seabourn Pursuit will navigate through one of the Earth’s last untamed frontiers, located in the northwest corner of Australia, characterized by its rugged sandstone peaks, cascading waterfalls, submerged mangrove forests, and much more. The Kimberley region voyages will introduce a selection of included expedition experiences meticulously crafted to encourage travelers to step out of their comfort zones. These experiences will comprise a wildlife-rich cruise along the Ord River, a breathtaking scenic flight over the distinct beehive-shaped domes of the Bungle Bungles sandstone range, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and a thrilling Zodiac exploration of Montgomery Reef, known for its impressive tidal fluctuations, among the largest in the world. Guests will also have the opportunity to engage with local indigenous cultures, participating in activities such as a traditional face painting ceremony with the Wunambal Gaambera, the traditional custodians of Freshwater Cove. The experience culminates with a traditional smoke ceremony, sending guests off with blessings for a safe and prosperous journey. The area teems with diverse wildlife, including saltwater and freshwater crocodiles, tawny nurse sharks, short-eared rock wallabies, white-bellied sea eagles, rainbow bee-eaters, and flying foxes.

From May to July 2025, Seabourn Pursuit will embark on a series of 10-day journeys spanning between Broome and Darwin, Australia, inviting travelers to explore the Kimberley region.

South Pacific

Seabourn Pursuit is set to embark on journeys that will take passengers through some of the world’s most seldom-visited islands and atolls. These thoughtfully crafted itineraries promise a unique experience at every turn. Travelers can explore unspoiled coral reefs teeming with a diverse array of fish species, delve into the remnants of World War II’s Pacific Theater, and immerse themselves in the remarkable local communities that graciously share their traditions and way of life in this remote corner of the globe.

One of the notable voyages, “Easter & Pitcairn Islands: Marooned, Moai, and Mutineers,” offers guests the chance to be captivated by one of the most legendary seafaring tales. They can explore the enduring legacy of the indigenous Rapa Nui on one island and engage with the descendants of the daring Mutineers who famously abandoned The Bounty and established their new home on another. Travelers can also access the crystalline waters of Raja Ampat for snorkeling or diving amidst reefs concealed among dramatic limestone karsts. Additionally, an immersive cultural experience awaits in the rarely-visited Asmat region of West Papua on the “Remote Shores of New Guinea & Indonesia” voyage. Throughout these adventures, local culture and history take center stage, as guests encounter tribes and communities who ventured across the vast Pacific Ocean using ingenious navigation techniques on the “Polynesia to Melanesia: Island Cultures & Coral Gardens” journey.

Seabourn Pursuit will undertake four distinctive voyages, including two 20-day voyages departing on March 18, 2025, from San Antonio, Chile to Papeete, Tahiti, and another departing on October 10, 2025, from Papeete to San Antonio. An 18-day voyage from Papeete to Sydney will set sail on April 7, 2025, and the “Remote Shores of New Guinea & Indonesia” voyage, spanning 16 days, departs from Sydney on April 24, 2025, and concludes in Darwin.
