VAI Resort, an eagerly awaited addition to Arizona’s hospitality scene, is set to redefine luxury and design when it opens its doors in Glendale, part of the metro Phoenix area, in late 2024. The resort aspires to enchant guests with its transformative atmosphere and meticulous attention to detail. With the distinction of being Arizona’s largest hotel property, VAI Resort aims to use the natural Arizona landscape and unique aspects of the resort experience to inspire its design choices across its 1,100 rooms.
Throughout the property, various elements of the region are interwoven, showcasing the desert’s natural beauty and its distinct character. Guests will be impressed by the well-thought-out rooms designed to provide a spacious environment, catering to the desires and moods of the guests.
Under the guidance of visionary Scott Hillig, President of Design and Development for VAI Resort, the property’s philosophy revolves around creating a distinctive and experiential environment that seamlessly integrates entertainment, culinary artistry, and hospitality. VAI Resort seeks to leave a lasting first impression of awe and appreciation as guests step foot into the hotel, enveloping them in an environment that showcases unparalleled attention to detail, regardless of which tower or room they choose.
The design of all hotel accommodations draws inspiration from the overarching music concept of the hotel, incorporating unique techniques and technologies that push the boundaries of traditional hotel settings. The goal is to blend luxurious finishes, dimensional textures, and a range of materials to create an elevated and exclusive experience. These carefully selected elements, accented by bold colors, immerse guests in a curated space, much like different layers of music invite guests into a captivating story.
Each of VAI Resort’s four hotel towers offers a distinct ambiance, providing guests with a range of captivating experiences:
1. Amphitheater: This epitome of luxury offers guests the chance to experience the finest appointments and a unique design integrated with the VAI Amphitheater, allowing for an intimate concert experience while surrounded by complementary finishes.
2. Cadence: A tranquil and surreal environment featuring music sheets and raw scraps of paper capturing original scores and lyrics from renowned artists.
3. Rhythm: An oasis of luxury in the desert, where guests can enjoy an extraordinary getaway, with song lyrics displayed in moss and metals to stimulate their minds.
4. VAI Villas: Ranging from 1,100 to 5,300 square feet, these Villas provide a sanctuary of comfort and exclusivity, paying tribute to entertainment venues worldwide while celebrating the unifying power of music.
To bring this unique setting to life, VAI Resort collaborated with top talent, including firms such as Davis Ink, DH Companies, Gensler, and KTGY + Simeone Deary. Additionally, the resort’s art program will feature the work of six internationally acclaimed artists, each creating pieces exclusively for the resort, centered around music and entertainment.
The resort’s design is not limited to its rooms; it also plays a crucial role in various one-of-a-kind venues and amenities, including:
– VAI Amphitheater: This state-of-the-art amphitheater, set against a stunning five-acre oasis backdrop, promises unforgettable entertainment experiences.
– Konos Island: A 52,000-square-foot island oasis, inspired by Mykonos, Greece, and Tulum, Mexico, serves as the resort’s crown jewel, offering white sand beaches, luxurious appointments, unique culinary offerings, and entertainment experiences.
– 12 distinctive restaurants: These venues not only provide cutting-edge culinary experiences but also offer diverse vibes and memorable atmospheres within each space.
VAI Resort is poised to transform the luxury hospitality landscape, exceeding all expectations with its exceptional design. Guests can look forward to the late 2024 opening when VAI Resort unveils its haven of luxury and creativity in the heart of Arizona.
