The Crown Jewel: Experience the Changing of the Guard at The Londoner Macao

The Changing of the Guard entertainment extravaganza will be launched by The Londoner® Macao on May 26. It will recreate the dramatic display of British pageantry at the stunning Crystal Palace lobby atrium of the London-themed property. The unique multimedia show is part of The Londoner Macao’s compelling portfolio of themed entertainment options, as it continues to bring the best of London to Macao.

The Crystal Palace at The Londoner Macao serves as the venue for the famous Changing of the Guard ceremony, which is known for its long history and popularity as a tourist attraction in the UK. The soldiers, adorned in their iconic bearskin hats and red tunics, have become inseparable from the image of the country. 

At The Londoner Macao’s Crystal Palace, this grand display of pomp and ceremony takes place six days a week. Over 20 artists come together to create a captivating and Instagram-worthy spectacle, featuring The Londoner Macao’s own Scots Guards, Heralding Trumpeters, and Drummers appearing on multiple levels. Modern elements have been incorporated into this traditional pageantry, including special effects, thrilling music, and dynamic images of the guards displayed on 12 moving LED screens across three levels. These enhancements transport visitors to London, marking the beginning of an incredible journey at The Londoner Macao.

The Londoner Macao prides itself on providing the finest British and internationally themed entertainment, offering visitors a chance to immerse themselves in unique experiences. Among the offerings are talented “Streetmosphere” artists who roam the premises, interactive Londoner Moments installations, and captivating shows such as the Londoner Light and Sound Spectacular and the Elizabeth Tower Light Show, illuminating the Cotai Strip every night.

The development of The Londoner Macao’s Changing of the Guard extravaganza involved a collaboration with Hasbas Entertainment, a renowned creative powerhouse recognized for its ability to infuse mega-spectacles with emotional depth and sophistication. 

Hasbas Entertainment has an impressive track record of producing award-winning and buzz-worthy live entertainment projects worldwide, including the highly acclaimed Grand Opening of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Hollywood. With their extensive portfolio and wealth of experience, visitors can expect an unforgettable signature spectacle at The Londoner Macao, featuring stunning costumes, intricate choreography, and flawless technical execution.

To complement the visual spectacle, the musical score for The Londoner Macao’s Changing of the Guard was expertly arranged by Tim Heintz. Hailing from Los Angeles, Tim Heintz is a highly accomplished musician, composer, and arranger whose works have graced television shows, films, and renowned theme parks such as Disney Parks and Universal Studios. His exceptional talent ensures that the musical component of the show is equally remarkable, enhancing the overall experience for guests.

The Changing of the Guard spectacle at The Londoner Macao’s Crystal Palace takes place at the following show times:

• Tuesday to Thursday: 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.
• Friday to Sunday: 4:00 p.m., 7:30 p.m., and 9:30 p.m.

Please note that there are no shows on Mondays. The Crystal Palace within The Londoner Macao serves as the enchanting location for this grand event.
