Mercure Singapore Tyrwhitt, a newly-rebranded hotel, has been launched by Accor to strengthen its presence in Southeast Asia. The hotel is situated in the heart of Singapore’s heritage district, on Tyrwhitt Road, and offers guests the opportunity to discover the rich history of the city. The area is surrounded by traditional shophouses, specialty coffee shops, boutique cafés, and urban artworks. The hotel is just a few minutes away from Bendemeer MRT station, which provides easy access to cultural hubs such as Haji Lane, Little India, Orchard Road, and the iconic attractions of Marina Bay. It is also conveniently located 16 km away from Changi Airport.
Mercure Singapore Tyrwhitt boasts a unique design concept inspired by the Art Deco-style hardware stores and industrial workshops of the 1950s, in line with the ethos of the Mercure brand and reflecting the spirit of the neighborhood. The influence of this style can be seen throughout the hotel, including in the large black-and-white images in the lobby and the decorative metal grills and patterned tiles in the restaurant.
The hotel offers a range of 270 rooms, including classic, twin, double, and family options. Each room is equipped with smart TVs, desks, high-speed Wi-Fi, and a premium filtered water dispenser as part of the hotel’s commitment to reducing single-use plastics. The balcony rooms feature a picturesque veranda with a low-slung swing seat, while the Mercure Privilege Rooms boast modern interiors, floor-to-ceiling windows, and some with private terraces and family configurations that include two double beds and a converted loft space.
Guests at Mercure Singapore Tyrwhitt can take advantage of the hotel’s curated maps, which highlight the best local shops, dining options, and other sights to see. After a day of exploring, visitors can relax by the hotel’s rooftop pool or work out in the fitness center. The hotel also features a function room that can accommodate up to 20 guests for meetings or events. Kids can also enjoy the wading pool and fountain.
Applause Restaurant, the hotel’s all-day dining spot, serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner and offers a range of Western dishes and local delicacies, as well as Singapore-inspired cocktails and a selection of international wines. The Tyrwhitt Little Café (TLC), a cozy and inviting space, serves up freshly brewed coffee and tea, as well as light snacks and mouth-watering desserts, and is a popular spot for both guests and local visitors.
The Mercure Singapore Tyrwhitt has joined Accor’s growing portfolio as the third Mercure hotel in Singapore and the 28th property in the city. Offering comfortable and affordable accommodations, rates for a room per night start at SGD 180++
