The Peninsula Shanghai is announcing the 2021 Michelin-starred House-made Mooncakes collection.
This year’s flavor selection includes: the traditional Yi Long Court Egg Custard Mooncake; the Yi Long Court Black Truffle Egg Custard Mooncake, a savory sensation launched in 2019, showcasing the intense earthiness and depth of flavors of Italian black truffle, perfectly paired with creamy egg custard, now back by popular demand. Also, Yi Long Court Moutai is this year’s unique mooncake flavor references one of China’s most iconic liquors – Moutai. The fourth confection is the new Yi Long Court Heart-shaped Chocolate & Coffee Mooncake, which are filled with a rich Valrhona chocolate-flavored egg custard that oozes lusciously when cut.
The Peninsula Shanghai House-made Mooncakes will be available for purchase at the mooncake booth in The Lobby and at The Peninsula Boutique.
Yi Long Court Moutai & Coffee Mooncake gift set (8 pieces) is priced at RMB 1,688; Egg Custard Mooncake gift set (8 pieces) is priced at RMB 478; Heart-shaped Chocolate Mooncake gift set (8 pieces) is priced at RMB 568; Black Truffle Egg Custard Mooncake gift set (8 pieces) is priced at RMB 498. All mooncakes are house-made and released in limited batches.
Pick-up date of Egg Custard Mooncake is from August 18 to September 21, 2021; pick-up date of Heart-shaped Chocolate Mooncake and Black Truffle Egg Custard Mooncake is from the 1st to 21st of September, 2021; pick-up date of Moutai & Coffee Mooncake is from 12th to 21st of September, 2021.
