The Peninsula Paris has reopened its indoor restaurants this month.  The hotel also welcomed wine connoisseur Florent Martin to its culinary team as Head Sommelier.  Martin will lend his wine expertise to all of The Peninsula Paris’s restaurants – including the Michelin-starred L’Oiseau Blanc; the Cantonese hotspot Lili; Le Lobby and the soignées alfresco dining terraces of La Terrasse Kléber and Le Rooftop. Prior to joining The Peninsula Paris, Mr. Martin’s deep knowledge of viticulture and wine pairing earned him the “Best Sommelier of France 2020” award.

The Peninsula Paris’s Michelin-starred restaurant, L’Oiseau Blanc introduces new summer menu by chef David Bizet.  Among the dishes featured at L’Oiseau Blanc this summer are steamed red mullet with smoked eggplant; lacquered sweetbreads with chanterelles and goji berries; and smothered pigeon with Swiss chard and truffled cocoa. Desserts from pastry sous-chef Anne Coruble – featuring flavors like Meyer lemon with crystallized wakame or crunchy Valrhona chocolate with candied Taggiasche olive.

Service daily from 12 noon to 2 :30 pm and from 7 pm to 11 pm

Tasting Menu 185€ per person

  • Blue lobster / algae tartare / rhubarb / salicornia

  • Line-caught sea bass / marsh parsley and fennel / iodized mixed shoots / pike roe
  • Smothered pigeon / Swiss chard and olive / truffled cocoa / cherry
  • Hazelnut from Piemont / black fruits with Cabernet wine / fir bud

On July 14, L’Oiseau Blanc will have a special menu for this day.  Bastille Day Tasting Menu 595€ per person

Amuse-bouche

  • Deviled egg tartlet / Ossetra caviar / aniseed cream

Starter

  • Spiny lobster / algae tartare / crispy buckwheat

Fish

  • Line-caught sea bass / marsh parsley / pike roe

Meat

  • Free-range chicken from the Perche roasted on smoked barley / Swiss chard with ginger / fresh almonds

Desserts

In celebration of the summer season – and the reopening of its singularly elegant Belle Époque-era rooftop restaurant – The Peninsula Paris has transformed Le Rooftop into a blossoming rose garden.  Along with small plates created by chef David Bizet, chic cocktails, and sweeping views over the Paris cityscape, diners can now enjoy a lush atmosphere perfumed by dozens of heirloom rose plantings.

• Service daily from 3 pm to 11 pm (weather permitting)

• Reservation not required

• Live music Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 6 pm to 8 pm
