In a festive announcement, MGM Resorts International has revealed captivating holiday displays and experiences across its renowned properties.
Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens: “The Nutcracker”
The Conservatory & Botanical Gardens at Bellagio invites guests to immerse themselves in the enchanting world of Tchaikovsky’s timeless ballet, “The Nutcracker.” The holiday exhibit meticulously recreates iconic scenes from the beloved classic, portraying Clara’s magical journey through her holiday dreamland. Designed by Ed Libby and brought to life by Bellagio’s Horticulture team, the display features awe-inspiring floral arrangements and festive decor, narrating the courageous Nutcracker Prince’s adventure with Clara in the Land of Sweets. Visitors can experience different enchanting moments from the ballet, transforming the Conservatory into a true winter wonderland. The complimentary exhibit is open 24 hours daily, running from December 2 to January 7.
The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas: The Ice Rink
For the 12th consecutive year, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas is transforming its Boulevard Pool into an extraordinary rooftop winter wonderland with a 4,200-square-foot ice rink offering stunning views of the Las Vegas Strip. Open daily from December 2 to January 2, the Ice Rink presents a magical ambiance for guests to enjoy craft cocktails and holiday bites. The deck, adorned with open-air fire pits and charming decor, includes The Chalet, a mountaintop village. Special events, such as classic holiday films and snow showers, will entertain visitors, and on December 3, guests can join Vegas Golden Knights players for a festive celebration. Skating access is available for a fee, with complimentary admission to the winter wonderland atmosphere. Advanced ticket purchases and reservations are encouraged.
Mandalay Bay Shark Reef Aquarium: Santa in the Shipwreck
Santa Claus makes a splash at Mandalay Bay’s Shark Reef Aquarium with the annual “Santa in the Shipwreck” event. Children 12 and under, with paid admission, receive a complimentary photo with Santa. This year, Santa Jaws, a toothy holiday helper, joins in the festive fun, swimming by for photos throughout the day. Dressed in a SCUBA suit, Santa will dive into the shipwreck exhibit, bidding farewell to his underwater friends before returning to the North Pole. The event takes place from December 16 to 24, with special appearances by Santa Jaws every hour for photos and interactions. Admission prices vary, and advance reservations are recommended.
New York-New York: Terry Fator: A Very Terry Christmas
Terry Fator and his cast of characters spread holiday cheer with “A Very Terry Christmas” at New York-New York. Performing Christmas classics and original songs, including appearances from characters like Maynard Thompkins and the Impersonating Turtle, the show runs on select dates from November 24 to December 30 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets start at $34.95, and guests are recommended to be 12 years of age or older.
Excalibur: Tournament of Kings: ‘Twas the Knight
At Excalibur, guests can join the festivities with “Tournament of Kings: ‘Twas the Knight.” Combining classic medieval jousts with holiday-inspired music, the production offers a winter wonderland experience with majestic costumes and flags. The show, running from November 22 to December 25, features a seasonal feast and tickets starting at $51.86. Locals receive a $10 discount, and children three years and younger are complimentary when sitting on an adult’s lap.
